Kelsey Geer has completed her third mission trip to Alaska!

Kelsey made her third domestic mission trip to Alaska. She departed on Saturday, July 7, and returned home on Saturday, July 21. As were her other two trips, Kelsey went going through Global Expeditions, a division of Acquire the Fire. Global Expeditions has been doing domestic and international missions since 1987 and has given more than 67,783 missionaries the opportunity to share their faith on short-term mission trips in over 69 countries around the globe. These missionaries have made their mark on eternity with over a million reported decisions for Christ.

Though part of the United States, Alaska is home to a unique group of people with specific needs unlike any other location in the U.S. Due in part to the extreme variations of light and darkness so far north, Alaska has the highest depression rate of any state in the U.S., and suicide is frequently considered as a solution to the mental and spiritual oppression. It is here that missionaries can carry the message of the hope of Jesus Christ – into the secluded villages of Alaska and introduce people to the Creator of the universe while assisting the community through various repair projects, gardening, and everyday tasks. Through hard work and labor, missionaries will show them the love of Christ in a tangible way while ministering hope in a location where hope is sometimes difficult to find. Missionaries will share their testimony with families as help them in their homes and play with their kids. Their humble kindness will open doors for many to put their trust in Jesus.

Thank you for having kept Kelsey and her fellow team members in your prayers as they made this trip to serve our Lord through hands-on ministry to the people of our 50th state.
