InsideOut Youth Group went to Staten Island, NY from June 26 – July 2, 2016. We decided to go to Staten Island, because there was still a lot of damage done from Hurricane Sandy back in 2012. We worked on many projects while in Staten Island. A few projects include going to a school and playing with inner city children, cleaning up a church, mowing and taking care of the area around a neighborhood, cleaning and organizing at a home, building a shower, and visiting homes to give them literature about a God and a local church. We also did a home repairs at a home. We hung insulation, hung drywall, did framework, and clean up. We stayed at a hotel on Staten Island and drove to Movement Church each day. At this church we got our job assignments, had devotions, had lunch, and met many great people. At the end of our work week, we also went and toured NYC. It was a great, rewarding trip!
